Mad Heartists

Mask in the snow

Exploring
the intersection
between
Arts and Mental Health

About

Mad Heartists is a collective brought together by Queen Mary University London to create an online community centring around the arts and mental health.

Our aim is to connect people with living and lived experience; including survivors, service users, artists, practitioners, researchers, and mental health professionals.

Mad Heartists provides a safe, diverse, and accessible online forum in which people can share, explore and discuss their art, work, and research, and connect with others in the field.

This website is a work in progress and an ongoing project in development by the Mad Hearts working group, set up to reimagine an online space to explore the intersection of arts and mental health.

Mad Hearts was set up to promote dialogues to challenge and change ideas and practices in mental health through the arts. Rooted in MSc Creative Arts and Mental Health at Queen Mary University of London.
